Malaysia's 47th year of independence.

What have I done these 30+ years as contribution towards my homeland?

Hmmm...how about spending money?

After all, I am contributing to the economy...Hah!

30+ years of my life and what do I have to show for it?

Not much, really.

But this month, this month...I will always remember.

Because it is this month that I feel I've begun to live.

It's amazing how one person can make all the difference.

:)

Today I used the birthday present my friends gave me.

The place was really nice. The total ambience, atmosphere and all. Classy too.

What I did:
Steam Bath
- where they lock you in a small room and pump steam in. Not too bad if it weren't for my imagination running wild. Each time steam was pumped in, I have expected to see some horror figure materialise in front of me. Also, each time the water dripping from the top fell on me, I couldn't help but imagine it to be blood...
Maybe it's just this time of the month when one's imagination tends to run wild.

Salt Glow
- which is basically a body scrub with salt. This was great. Feels like someone took a loofah and ran it all over your body.

Balneotherapy
- fancy name for what I call a jacuzzi, even though they say it's a water massage etc etc. What I enjoyed was the scalp massage during the balneotherapy. Yea..

Relaxation Therapy
- the massage. The one that I had been looking forward to. Unfortunately it was a total letdown. 50 minutes just isn't enough and they didn't even use any scented oils!

Whole package took about 3 hours. Perfect up until the massage. But nevermind, I can go for another one elsewhere. Hehehehe.

After all that relaxation and rejuvenation, I'm off to a party at a friend's place tonight. So-called Merdeka party (yup, any damn excuse to throw a party!) which means it's going to be a booze fest. If I said I wasn't going to drink, I'd just be kidding myself. But for a certain someone, I'll try not to drink too much...

Thinking of you and missing you.

You called last night.

I was really surprised to hear your voice. Really, really happy too. Never expected you to call so it really, really made my night.

But then it was all just a dream. Albeit a very nice one.

Miss you heaps.

I hate myself.

I'm sorry...please forgive me...
One more week and August comes to an end.

Thank goodness.

It has just been a horrible, horrible, horrible month.

It just feels as though I haven't had any rest at all. Stress level is at a maximum high and it's not just work. It's the freaking new apartment too.

Work, I can handle. Work, plus the new apartment, somebody just kill me.

My mum thinks I have all the time in the world and wants me to design the place, look at this, go buy that etc. Hello?! Unlike you, I have to work. I have a paying job which requires me to be in the office, not out gallavanting shopping for furniture or playing with the apartment design!

Then there's all her bloody huge chunky furniture which has to be taken into consideration. And that 11-freaking-foot sofa she nearly bought today if I hadn't stopped her. The living room is 14 feet in length. An 11 feet sofa means you only have 3 feet left of space. Why not? Just make the whole living room the sofa la! Sure, we're moving into a bigger place but it's not a bloody mansion!

And when I tell her, her comment? "Aiya, you like la. You go and decide la."

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I told her I don't want to have anything to do with the design of the place any longer. She can go and buy what she wants, however big she wants them to be, puts things where she wants, fill up the whole space so that we can't even see the floor, I don't care. I'm washing my hands clean of the whole thing.

All I want to do is retreat into my own room, lock the door and just curl up in bed.

Still in office.

Bummer.

Feeling hungry.
Feeling tired.
Feeling lonely.
Missing someone tremendously.

I am so not looking forward to tomorrow. Can't believe I would ever say that of a weekend. But there's just so many things I need to get done! Arghhh...

Things to do tomorrow:

Pick shade designs for bedroom windows.

Order bed.

Buy girdle (ya...so fat already, need some help to hold it in. Hahahahahaha!)

Manicure and pedicure (going to wear open toed shoes for the night, so pedicure is a must!)

Shop at the very last minute for a top (yes, I still haven't thought about what to wear!!)

Rush home.

Make myself beautiful (going to be real difficult, but what the heck!)

Rush to Renaissance Hotel for the stupid pageant.

Ugh.

Stress.

Random rants and musings...

A relief that HOCC didn't guest perform at Sammi's concert in Genting. Was prepared to kick myself if she did.

It's going to be another dismal and dry outing at yet another awards show for me. Sigh. Should I even bother going?

Shopping for furniture/lights/curtains is a tedious task.

Shopping for clothes to wear to a formal function is an even more tedious task. Don't wanna go...*sulks*

Clients are a boring, uninteresting, anal, unimaginative, cowardly lot.

Mamak mee goreng and beer do not mix. Results in a horrible evening with head in toilet bowl.

I still haven't paid my income tax. Need to go by end of this week or the taxman will be knocking on my door.

Scrapped Morocco in favour of a new desktop computer with flat LCD screen next month. The Apple Mini iPod can wait another month.

Will probably get the bed I saw the other day, even though most of the people I know say it's extravagantly expensive. But I can't get it out of my mind and everything else doesn't look as good. As mum says, "You're not going to be changing a bed every year, are you? If you like it, buy it." Think I will.

Lights. Bedroom lights. What sort of lights should I have in my bedroom? Down? But that means an artificial ceiling...which hmmm, need to check the height of my aircond...What else is there besides downlights?

I've got itchy hands again...

This time, it's the new Apple Mini iPod. Lovely, isn't it? Should I get the silver, blue or green?

Retails at about RM1100+ or US$249.

Was hoping to say goodnight.

Guess I either missed you or you didn't come online at all tonight.

Oh well.

Goodnight anyway.

Sweet dreams!

You're still the one
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
You're still the one
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I wanna kiss good night

Stressed.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
