I'm so sick and tired of this shit that's going on here.

Sick and tired of people who think they're holier than thou.

Sick and tired of people who are unclear on the concept but think they know all.

Sick and tired of people who are all just talk and no action.

Sick and tired of a boss with absolutely no backbone.

Sick and tired of a boss who only wants to be the good guy.

Sick and tired of a boss who doesn't act his role as head of department.

Sick and tired of a boss who lets the shit-heads walk all over us and him.

Sick and tired of all this bullshit.

There was an old married couple that had happily lived together for nearly forty years. The only friction in their marriage was caused by the husband's habit of breaking wind nearly every morning as he awoke. The noise would always wake up his wife and the smell would cause her eyes to water as she would choke and gasp for air.

Nearly every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping one in the morning. He told her that the couldn't help it. She begged him to see a doctor to see if anything could be done but the husband wouldn't hear of it. He told her that it was just a natural bodily function and then he would laugh in her face as she tried to wave the fumes away with her hands. She told him that there was nothing natural about it and if he didn't stop, he was one day going to "fart his guts out."

The years went by and the wife continued to suffer and the husband continued to ignore her warnings about "farting his guts out" until one Thanksgiving morning. Before dawn, the wife went downstairs to prepare the family feast. She fixed pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy and of course a turkey. While she was taking out the turkey's innards, a thought occurred to the wife as to how she might solve her husband's problem. With a devilish grin on her face, she placed the turkey guts into a bowl and quietly walked upstairs hours before her flatulent husband would awake.

While he was still soundly asleep, she pulled back the covers and then gently pulled back her husband's jockey shorts. She then placed all of the turkey guts into her husband's underwear, pulled them up, replaced the covers and tiptoed back downstairs to finish preparing the family meal.

Several hours later she heard her husband awake with his normal loud-ass trumpeting. This was soon followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as her husband ran to the upstairs bathroom. The wife could not control herself and her eyes began to tear up as she rolled on the floor laughing. After years of putting up with him she had finally gotten even.

About twenty minutes later, her husband came downstairs in his blood stained underpants, with a look of horror in his eyes. She bit her lip to keep from laughing and she asked him what was the matter. He said, "Honey, you were right - all those years you warned me and I didn't listen to you."

"What do you mean?" asked his wife.

"Well you always told me that I would end up farting my guts out one of these days and today it finally happened. But by the grace of God and these two fingers, I think I got 'em all back in."

I still have no idea what Thanksgiving is all about.

Happy Thanksgiving, anyway.

Haven't been able to get this song out of my head for days...

I'm sitting here, staring out my window, staring at the screen. There's a thousand and one things going through my mind but I don't know how to put them down here.

The sky's getting darker by the minute. Is it because it's getting late or is it because it's going to rain? It hasn't rained for 3 days now. Is the monsoon season over or is this just a temporary reprieve?

It's been a lazy Saturday and I haven't stepped foot out of the house since I woke up this afternoon. After which I just spent the whole time sitting in front of the idiot box watching 4 episodes of War And Beauty. Which, to a certain extent is interesting yet depressing. I don't know. All the women in there, no matter how 'evil' they are, you tend to sympathise with and feel sorry for.

Maybe that's the reason for my melancholic mood.

Then again, maybe not.

A Malaysian dies and goes to hell. There he finds that there is a different hell for each country.

He goes first to the German hell and asks, "What do they do here?" He is told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the German devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day."

The man does not like the sound of that at all, so he moves on. He checks out the USA hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the German hell. Then he comes to the Malaysian hell and finds that there is a very long line of people waiting to get in. Amazed he asks, "What do they do here?" He is told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Malaysian devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day."

"But that is exactly the same as all the other hells -why are there so many people waiting to get in?"

"Because maintenance is so bad that the electric chair does not work, someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a former Government servant, so he comes in signs the register and then goes to the canteen..."

The scary bit is that it's so true.

You don't know whether to laugh or cry.

What do you do when the thing you really want, you know you can't have? Even though it's been right in front of you all this while, you still don't have the guts to reach out and take it. You play along pretending you don't want it, pretending that it doesn't matter, that you've gotten over with the wanting.

Is it in human nature to look for other distractions?

Or is it maybe just my nature?

I guess distractions are good. Though only when you're in the driver's seat. When you start to lose control over a distraction which you initially thought you had control over, things can get to spin out of hand, and before you know it, you're stuck in a situation you really wish you weren't.

On a brighter note, I remembered my user name and password for my HaloScan comments thingy!

It's so hard to get back into work after 4 days of not having to work.

Yea, the holiday's over. What a bummer.

What else is there to do except look forward to the next one? Unfortunately, the next one's not until Christmas. Bummer again.

Anyway, thought I'd change my blog layout again. Too lazy to actually 'design' one, so am using one of Blogger's templates with a few modifications here and there. The other reason for the change is because I'm not using IE on my new computer and Safari (the explorer that I am using) makes my old layout look major spastic. Haven't played around with my layout for so long that I've forgotten all my user names and passwords for the extra stuff I have on my blog. Had to go register a new counter and now am trying desperately to remember my user name for my Haloscan comments thingy. Sigh. The sign of old age.

I'm feeling under the weather too, but somehow it just didn't seem right to take a sickie after 4 days of being off. Oh well.

At least, there's only 3 days left to this week.

Yay!

Sucks.

Feels like the whole nation is on holiday except for my company.

Oh well.

Not that I'm going to do much work today. Not that there's anyone around to do any work. What stupid policy is it that when your partner goes on leave, you're not allowed to? Like, there's so much I can do when my partner's not around. Like, there's so much work to be done on a day when three-quarters of the agency is on leave. *rolls eyes*

Woohoo! I'm back in business!

Got myself a spanky new toy. Cost me a bomb and I'll be paying for it for the next two months, but what the heck! I needed a computer and this baby happened to be around at that time.

It takes awhile getting used to...plus the fact that there are less programs compatible with it. Not complaining though. Like one of my colleagues said, hey it's like buying a car. A Proton (our national car) can take you places, so can a BMW. But people choose to buy the BMW. 'Cos it's all about looking good. Hahaha. Got to love my colleague for his comment.

At this point in time, I'm just thrilled to be finally back online at home again!

I'm back cyberworld!

My new toy (don't get jealous. *grin*):

Back from Bali!

I look like some fire victim though.

Have this major burns on my legs that look like someone poured boiling hot water and scalded them. Horrible, horrible. I have ugly, mutant, alien legs now! *Bawl!!*

Bali was hot. And hot. And very hot.

Hotel sucked. Room sucked. Bathroom sucked. Bed sucked.

Need another holiday to recover from it now!

Sucks that I have to be back at work today. Bet you everybody is thinking the same too. Bright note is, in 10 days time, there's another long holiday coming up - the Deepavali-Hari Raya stretch. Woohoo! No more beach holidays for me though. Maybe one where I stay in bed all day. Haha!
