Gawd.

My boss has been irritating me MAJOR.

Hello, the presentation is on Thursday. As far as I'm concerned, I just want to get the things out and done, seeing how we still have half the items to do. I don't need you adding to the freaking workload!

And I am not a song writer! How many freaking times do I have to tell you? Lyrics don't need to rhyme. How is it sung? How the hell should I know? I'm leaving that to the musician! If he feels there isn't enough counts to the lyrics, he should be smart and professional enough to ad-lib. What the hell are we paying them for? Gawd dammit.

Grrr.

And to the person who said I don't know how to appreciate music. Yea, you're right. I really don't know how to appreciate it when all night long all I heard was echo. It was a crock concert. The sound system was disappointing, the stage was too far from the majority of the audience and he just talked way too much.

It's my blog. I'll write what I want. You don't like it, don't read it.

Yes, I'm feeling bitchy. So sue me.

Monday again.

Glad I don't have to be at work now. Though it was a bummer getting up this morning to actually go to work. Don't know why I bothered. But I guess seeing a cute doc sort of made up for it. Haha.

Anyway, the weekend was rather crock. I gave up a more happening party for a total waste of time concert.

Sam Hui. I don't care if you're the God of Song, you bored the hell out of me on Saturday night.

Never have I gone for a concert and felt like the time just wouldn't move. 1 hour felt like a lifetime. And he just wouldn't go! I mean gawd...more than 3 hours. Enough already! I couldn't hear a word he said, couldn't hear a thing he sang. The sound system was totally f-ed up. The only good thing out of it was that it taught me never to sit in the wings. Bloody hell. RM200 down the drain. I freaking want a refund! My time and money!

C said she's able to get free tickets for Joey Yung next week and if I wanted to go. Hell yea. I have to make up for that stupid God of Bore concert.

And maybe after the concert, I could bump into her, charm her with my sparkle and wit and have a wonderful weekend fling. HOCC eat your heart out. Haha.

Should I have felt the slightest tinge of jealousy?

I don't know, really. Maybe what it was was a blow to the ego. Or maybe I just wasn't expecting it. What did I expect? After all, I don't tell said person whatever that's happened in my life since...so, why should I expect said person to do the same?

I really shouldn't be surprised. But I was. I mean how does one react to something like that when just hours ago we were chatting and laughing and I guess, somewhat flirting too, over the phone? Then 5 hours later...

P: You still not home? I'm on my way home now.
Me: You sound like you drank a lot.
P: I'm okay. *forced laughter*. Actually, I'm heart-broken.
(At this point, the connection starts to crackle a bit)
Me: Huh??! What?
P: I'm heart-broken.
(At this point, the sound of mahjong tiles being shuffled drowns out whatever)
Me: Haha. I thought I heard you say you were heart-broken.
P: I am.
Me: Oh.

It's not meant to be funny. But I guess looking back at the conversation now, it does sound pretty funny. Like something totally out of a movie.

I digress.

Anyway, yea. Heart-broken. Hang on a minute, I didn't even know you had anyone else! Bad of me to assume.

Now I'm curious who that other person is.

When you're sitting at home with nothing much to do except watch tv, eat and tinker on the computer, you'll inevitably discover something new. I realised I haven't really utilised my Mac to its full potential (and I doubt I ever will!) While tinkering with it two days ago, I discovered this pretty cool programme that came with it: Garage Band. It's a music editor, so I thought, why not give it a try. There's still much I haven't figured out about it. I mean, I've seen lots of sound engineers at work and there's hell more that can be done with music editing...I just haven't figured the programme out. Or maybe, this is all the programme can do...hmm...

Anyway, I gave it a go. And this is my amateurish attempt at creating a medley of some of ah C's songs.

Don't laugh too much.

Rat: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996

This is another good year for the rat. There are lots of opportunities where success can be attained. Expect a fun filled year where social life may keep the rat busy but do not get too distracted by romance. Promiscuity may lead to danger so do beware of romantic entanglements. Wealth may be good this year but do not be too greedy. Be content with what you have and try putting aside some savings for rainy days, avoid gambling and heavy investments. There will be chances to make more new friends this year. Singles will be able to meet up with their potential partner. For married couples, there may be a third party coming into the relationship.
from The Year of the Rooster - Chinese Horoscope - 2005

The Rooster's energy not only benefits the charming, intelligent, hard-working and creative Rat, but it keeps you especially busy. So although events - some good, some bad -- follow on from each other in rapid-fire succession, everything turns out for the best in the end. At work, initiative and conscientiousness are the keys to promotion and advancement, but if you do succeed, don't fritter away your newfound wealth, as existing and newfound obligations soon place finances under stress.

The year's busy pace also extends to your personal life, with an endless succession of problems to solve among family and friends, a full calendar of social events to attend to (Rats are always in demand) -- and, if you're solo, a good chance of finding love. By pacing your life, prioritising and making time for yourself, seeking advice when needed and staying in good physical shape, you'll cope with the fast-changing turn of events just fine.
from Sun.Star Davao - Horoscopes for the Year of the Rooster

Your keyphrases for this Rooster year, are: take it easy, don’t rush, and enjoy new friends and relationships. Your Rooster year will be busy, with extra work, new business, and multiplying commitments. You’ll have to act and adapt quickly, to maximise spur of the moment deals and opportunities. There will be a hectic social schedule, with parties, marriages, and other celebrations, to attend and organise. Another emphasis will be new connections, friendships and for the single Rat, love link-ups – enjoy!

The Ice Moon runs 1st-8th, landing you with more stresses and strains. These psychological tussles could affect relationships at home as well as at work. Strive for harmony and refuse to rise to any goading. You’ll have enough to do without making problems for yourself. Take extra responsibilities and home orientated tasks in your stride.

The 9th’s New Holiday Moon period, will feature some interesting discussions. And why not, as a Rat you love to have your mind opened and horizons expanded. From 14th on, watch out for misunderstandings and loved ones taking your words the wrong way. It would be best to keep yourself to yourself and get on with your life.

19th-27th, there’ll be journeys, long and short. Even if you’re not planning an outing or holiday, a family or work commitment will get you on the road. All month, avoid speculating with your money. Keep it in the bank!

Before the 28th, you’ll experience a parting. Whether a change of work staff, a friend moving or relationship ending, accept it as a positive evolution and a new beginning. Change is the essence of the universe.
from Chinese Horoscopes

Good or bad, it really doesn't make much of a difference. I live each year the same: take it as it comes.

Happy Chinese New Year!

9 freaking a.m. and I've just been subjected to the worst torture:

Hearing a man speak wisdom (gag!), tear up your ads because "he doesn't think so", and give you a whole bunch of arguments that contradict what he said the last time.

There really isn't any point in trying to reason with such a person. I know his kind. I've seen enough of his kind. Heck, I grew up with his kind. He's the king. Whatever he says holds true. Your words are nothing but a bunch of rubbish.

And what are we doing this for?

To satisfy his ego.

To allow him to snub a certain Tan Sri.

To make him even richer.

To elevate his Datukship to a Tan Sri-ship.

Bingo.

That's the whole point of this stupid exercise. So that it puts him on the path to Tan Sri-ship. So that it gets him more women (nevermind that he already has a wife and kids). So that he can keep more mistresses. So that he can have more 'nieces'.

Colleague 1: Eh, that one his niece ah?
Colleague 2 (who really is his niece): That's one cousin I don't know about.
Colleague 1: But he introduce as his niece.
Colleague 2: Maybe that's her name. De-Niece.

Cue roll eyes.

I have absolutely no respect for married men who persist in looking for other women.

Everybody's always so busy, too busy...

...for me.

Do I expect my friends to drop everything and entertain me? I guess, in a sense, I do. I know, the world doesn't revolve around me. But you know...why can't it? HAH.

"I'll call you later."

And I don't hear from whoever it is for two weeks, maybe less maybe more.

"We'll meet up tonight."

But there's no confirmation of what time and where and all is soon forgotten.

Oh well.

Am I used to it?

I guess I am, to a certain extent. I know it's not right to expect them to be at my beck and call. I mean, I know I'm not at their beck and call too. I probably won't drop everything if they called. Then again, I probably would. Actually, I think most of the time I have.

That's the difference though. Everybody has their own life. Everybody's not alone. There is no need for me to be around except if they want a good laugh, I suppose. On the other hand...I'm, I guess, what you would call, alone. When I call them, it's because I would like some company, because I don't want to be alone. But they've all got other things to do.

"Busy. Talk to you later."

"Busy. Moving house."

"Busy. Doing groceries."

"Busy. Feeding the fish."

Actually, I do know of one person who would be glad to entertain me. Who would probably drop everything just for me. Only thing is I'm trying my best not to call. But sometimes you just feel like being with someone so you call anyway. Even though you know it's not a good idea. Because I know that person still likes me even though we're not together anymore. (And no, I'm not being full of myself, I just know it.) I just don't wish to take advantage of that person. It's not fair.

Then again, when is life ever fair?

Your romantic attachment style: Cool and Dismissive

You have suggested that you have a dismissing style toward attachments, that they are really not too important to you. It is likely that you get along in your relationships, but don't invest yourself very much in them. You are also likely not to experience a great deal of distress in life and you probably don't experience feelings that are extremely intense, compared to people around you. Compared to them, you probably are not as excitable and tend not to get worked up over things.

This is a perfectly fine way to be and it probably keeps you on a very even keel. However, someday you may find that you are starting to feel lonely and that you would like to have closer relationships. If this should happen, but you find that you are unable to achieve the closeness you want, you may want to engage the services of a professional psychotherapist. This is the kind of life change that a professional can really help with.

Remember that attachment styles exist in degrees, and in this test, the degree to which a style is true for you will make a difference in your interpretation. Everyone has to have some style or another, and the features of any one style only become maladaptive when they exist in the extreme.

What do you do when your advances towards another person are rejected? Okay. Maybe not rejected. But a non-reply basically means a rejection, doesn't it?
